Harrison Butker, american football kicker, has been the centre of media attention this past week after insinuating at a commencement speech at Benedictine College, Kansas, that women would be more fulfilled as being mothers rather than careers women.
In his speech, Mr Butker stated to the women in the room “some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.”
He then goes on to say how his wife’s world didn’t truly start until she became a wife and mother, and insinuates this will apply to all women.
